One of my first chamber works, One Thousand Nights is an exciting intermediate work for clarinet quintet or clarinet choir. This work utilizes the Phrygian Dominant scale and an upbeat ostinato, and introduces young players to dissonance in a fun way. It is scored for 4 Bb clarinets and 1 Bass clarinet, and each part can be played by one or more players.
